MARIPOSA STACK CARDS

Here is one of a set of four cards made using papers from the Marisposa Stack of papers from JoAnne's.  Added some lace along left side, a Hero Arts phrase, some Prima flowers and faux gems.  The papers in this stack are absolutely gorgeous - need to play with them some more.

Speaking of Prima, follow this link to their website and read all about their Big Secret!  They are coming up with more and more things to entice us these days!

Thanks for stopping by!

LISA'S ALTERED ART CARDS

Lately, I have been making some sets of cards to sell locally.  This is one of a set of four, using a sample collage sheet from Lisa's Altered Art.  The others are very similar, just different "fairies" and cardstock.

Am finishing up another set using the Mariposa paper stack I recently purchased at JoAnne's.  There are so many beautiful papers in it; I will definitely be making a lot of cards from them as I find time!

Thanks for visiting.

TAG TUESDAY - cutesy

Finally got a tag made just in time for Louise Granlund's TAG TUESDAY challenge for the week, which was to do something "cutesy".  Like a lot of you, I don't really do cute these days.  Found this darling angel stamp in one of my drawers.  I purchased it in 1998 and it was designed by Annette Allen Watkins.  I think she originally had her own stamp company; later her designs were sold by Printworks.  (I always put my name and the year I bought my stamps on the side of the wood mount.  Fun to see how long I've had some of them.  Of course, I can't identify the clear ones that way.)  I digress.  Colored the image and added some glitter.  Cut out the star shape and added stamped stars - large ones by Magenta, small ones by Rubber Moon.  Colored them in and added more glitter.  Some metallic stars and ribbon finish off this tag.

This was indeed a challenge for me - am glad I found time to do it and get it posted.  Have been busy this past week with other things.

PENNY EXPERIMENT

This is a 6 x 6 page I have made for a project called the Penny Experiment which is an attempt to turn a found penny into one million dollars worth of food for food banks.  The book I am working in is No. 9/100.  It will be passed around to others who will add their own pages.  When it is full it will be sold to raise money for food banks.

I used a patterned paper for the background and then stamped across it with pine needles distress ink, swiping the edges with it too.  Added some collage elements, punched dots, ribbon and Prima flowers with a brad.  Glued a found penny to the medallion in the top right corner, in keeping with the origin of the idea.  Not sure if I am actually done with this; will keep looking at it from time to time to see if I want to add more to it before passing it along to Cheryl Carraway.

COLLAGE OBSESSION!

I used the image provided by collage obsession to make this ATC.  I taped it to a background paper in order for it to show up in the scan a little better.

The ARTchix Studio's current bi-weekly lottery theme is "words, woman and ...." the artist's choice.  I chose to use the color white as my 3rd element.  So this is ATC is for both challenges.

I used patterned paper for the background which I layered onto a slightly larger black cardstock.  The flourish is a Magenta rub-on.  Added white dots with a white pen and colored her lips in with a colored pencil.  Words and German scrap are from ARTchix.  I also added glitter around the edges and to the white German scrap; doesn't show in the scan.  Thanks for looking!

TAG TUESDAY - MONOGRAM

Louise's TAG TUESDAY challenge is to use a monogram on your tag.  I chose to use a P for Paris (sigh)!

Background was created using distress inks: marmalade, mustard and marigold spritzed with water on craft sheet.  Overstamped with a Stampers Anonymous stamp using marmalade again.  Lots of stamped images, some postage stamps from France, a Martha Stewart punched scrapbook paper border and some German scrap.  Ran the marmalade pad around the edges to finish it up a bit.

A trip to Paris is on my bucket list!

WEDNESDAY STAMPER - THE PAST

This is the first time I have participated in Wednesday Stamper.  Mostly collage elements; but I did use a stamp along three sides to frame it a bit.  Focal image is from Tuscan Rose.  Background is a German music page sent to me in a swap.  The little girl looks so happy to be with her daddy, doesn't she??

This collage is about 5 x 7 inches.  Thanks for stopping by!

TAG TUESDAY

The theme for Tag Tuesday this week is "a touch of red".  I recently purchased this Inkadinkadoo tag stamp and decided to use it.  I brayered Brilliance pearlescent sky blue ink over a manila tag (thus the aqua-tinged shade).  Stamped the tag image with Versafine black and then cut out the tag shape.  Added the red flower with a teal gem.  I love the beautiful little girl and the word "imagine".  Simple; but sometimes simple is the best.
