vintage valentine collage

This week I have been playing with some backgrounds and some collages for a few gals.  Here is one of the backgrounds:

I started with a pale cream cardstock and added barn door distress ink around the perimeter followed by walnut stain.  Overstamped with a pretty stamp from Hampton Art Stamps using the walnut stain inkpad again.

Here is the valentine collage I made using the background:

I cut the music heart freehand from an old music book, distressed the edges with walnut stain again.  Cut the pretty image into another heart shape.  Added lace and ribbon, brads and a heart button.  Top corners were punched with one of my favorite punches.  Couldn't stop without adding a bit of  Stickles platinum glitter around the heart shapes!!Attached the entire collage to a 5.5 x 5.5 inch piece of dark brown cardstock.

Still working on a few other collages.

TFL!

What a fabulous background. It looks like expensive designer paper. Your final piece is gorgeous, such a pretty image
